The ‘name’ quilt was made by the late Sarah Amberson while she worked at Stringfellow Hospital February 1987. It has the names of her co-workers including Dr. Thomas Bridges. She lived in Alexandria most of her life. When she became ill, she and her husband Leon moved to Nances Creek. She died in 2003 of complications of Alzheimers. The family plans to donate the quilt to Stringfellow Hospital in the near future.
