Anniston police today released surveillance footage of an early morning liquor-store robbery. The suspect appears to be male, between 5 and 6 feet tall and very spooky.

The video shows the suspect dashing across the store wearing a bed sheet with an eye hole cut through it.

According to Anniston police Capt. Allen George, the suspect broke into the ABC store on U.S. 431 in Saks at around 5:30 a.m. today.

George said officers responded to an alert from the store’s security alarm and employees provided video footage.

George said that upon reviewing the tape, he thought “we have to get that out.”

Officers posted the video footage to the department’s Facebook page.

“Anyone with any information regarding this criminal from the spirit realm, please contact us. But send ... email or shoot us a call, contacting a medium to get to us won't work.”

Within an hour it had received 51 likes and 164 shares.

Video shows the suspect sprinting back and forth down the aisles, but never taking any ... spirits. George said the workers took an inventory and as of this afternoon, they had found nothing missing from the business.

Footage from another camera at the store shows a beige Lincoln Towncar with custom wheel rims. Police believe the vehicle is the suspect's car.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call 256-238-1800.
