Anniston police say a woman involved in a wreck with a tanker truck on Alabama 202 Wednesday suffered only minor injuries.

Investigator Michael Webb said the woman was taken to Regional Medical Center in Anniston for precautionary measures. He said this afternoon that he didn’t know whether she had been released from the hospital.

According to Webb, the woman had been driving west on Alabama 202 in a gray Nissan Altima Wednesday night when the driver of the tractor-trailer truck failed to yield to her car while making a turn onto the highway from Lagarde Avenue.

The driver of the tanker truck was not injured in the accident, Webb said.
