Then a few years later the old woman came back. No one noticed her because she was green with gray hair. When she came through the town everyone went running except for one little girl.
The witch picked her up and flew away on her broom. When she got to where her old house used to be she pointed her wand at it and it appeared again. The witch took the little girl in her house. When the little girl saw it she started crying, saying “I want my mom and dad!” Then the witch used her wand to show her pictures of her dad. The little girl stopped crying and started trying to talk to her dad. Then the witch took the pictures away.
The witch said to the little girl, “If I make your room pink and with unicorns and pictures of your family will you agree to live with me?” The little girl shook her head and agreed to stay. The witch was so happy. She made the little girl’s room and then they were both so happy. The old woman named the little girl Katie. The little girl loved the name. The witch fed the little girl what she wanted every day. Then the little girl grew up and turned 10 years old. She started going outside and hunting with her own bow and arrow. Then her mom and dad found her and the witch. They were about to kill the witch, but Katie jumped in the way and said, “Even though she took me doesn’t mean she is not a good person, she has cared for me and I love her. She gave me my own room and has fed me great. You can’t kill her!”
Her family was touched that a 10-year-old girl could say such meaningful words so Katie’s mom gave the witch a makeover and they let her move in with them. Then the little girl was not so little anymore. She grew up, got married and had kids. She moved out and got her own house. Katie let the witch, who didn’t look so much like a witch anymore, move in with her. The witch was so happy that she wanted a family of her own. So Katie found the witch a boyfriend and they got married and had green children and had more children and she loved every one of them and took care of all 10 of her children and her green husband loved every one of their children too. And they lived happily ever after.
