Thanksgiving is slowly becoming just another shopping day as at least a dozen major retailers are planing to open Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013. (AP)

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, which means a majority of stores and restaurants in the United States will be closed. A few, however, will be open.

For those companies, their employees will have to work on one of America's biggest holidays. This morning, The New York Times' editorial board presented an interesting take on the topic, which including laws that force employers to pay double- or triple-time on holidays.
