The Century Foundation's Benjamin Landy produces an eye-opening report on college loans by comparing today's situation with a very different one after World War II:

Student loan debt is crushing a generation of youth who, in previous decades, would have benefited from institutional support like the GI Bill and federal subsidies for higher education.
