Anniston City School seniors receive support for teachers projects

The Public Education Foundation of Anniston (PEFA) recently received two grants from the Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama. A grant from the Foothills Community Partnership Fund will support the Kevin Thompson Teachers Project at Anniston High School which encourages students to pursue a degree in education. Kevin Thompson was a teacher at Walter Wellborn Elementary and was admired by his students and faculty members. In addition, a grant from the City of Anniston Competitive Grant Fund will support the daily operations and programs of the Public Education Foundation of Anniston. Together the grants total $70,200.
