The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Byron "Buddy" McLeod of Anniston and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lee Adams, formerly of Ohatchee. Adams is also the daughter of the late Jack Lee Adams Jr.
Miss Adams is a graduate of Jacksonville High School and attends Jacksonville State University. She is employed by Target Inc.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Joel Laird of Roanoke, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Turner, formerly of Roanoke.
Mr. Laird is a graduate of Faith Christian School and Gadsden State Community College. He is employed by Target Inc.
The wedding will be 6 p.m. Aug. 8, 2009, at Parker Memorial Baptist Church. Formal invitations will be sent.
