ESPN's College GameDay could be opening the year with the Crimson Tide.

Although the network has not released any plans, co-host Lee Corso might have let the cat out of the bag in a Sunday story in the Orlando Sentinel.

The former coach, who suffered a stroke this spring, told the Sentinel that he plans to make his return Sept. 5 in Atlanta, where Alabama will meet Virginia Tech in what is sure to be a match-up of top-10 teams.

The GameDay crew broadcast live in Atlanta twice last season — when Alabama played Clemson in the opener, and when the Tide played Florida in the SEC championship game.
