What does it mean to be an American? The land of the freeloaders, perhaps. This country is on a fast-track to socialism, all in the name of political correctness, ignorance and spineless political figures.
We need to place God back into our schools. If you find that offensive, go home. If it offends you to say the Pledge of Allegiance while saluting the American flag, go home. If you want to burn the American flag, go home. If you don't speak English, learn it. If you don't want to learn it, go home.
Our country's freedoms have been fought for at the expense of thousands of Americans, past and present. If you wish to continue your beliefs, religious or otherwise, fine, but if you or your children attend our schools and choose to live in America, then be prepared to practice our beliefs and our traditions. If you find that offensive, go home.
I sent the president-elect an e-mail conveying a proven sure fix to this country's financial deficit: Bring all U.S. troops home from Iraq and place them on the border, round up every illegal immigrant and every immigrant granted citizenship within the last two years who is on Social Security or welfare and ship them to Iraq. Those who make it back have earned the right to receive automatic citizenship.
I also told him he should refer to Gen. George Patton. The probable reason he has not responded is his lack of knowledge of this country's history or who Patton is. Therefore, he is not sure which staff member to question about that information.
