Local school's library holds breakfast

The White Plains Middle School Library hosted a "Bring Your Hero" breakfast on Sept. 10. The special event was to honor everyday heroes and to remember 9-11. This event also tied in with the fall Scholastic Book Fair theme: "Here's to Our Heroes: Reading Saves the Day!" Students in grades 5-8 wrote themes or created posters about their heroes. More than two hundred students and "heroes" enjoyed breakfast treats, shopped at the book fair, toured the new library, and read the stories in the "Hall of Heroes."
