The Alabama State University recently recognized students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their academic pursuits at its Honors Convocation held April 13. The honorees included Courtney Symone Wysinger of DeArmanville; Chelisia Dukes of Lineville; Ebony Antoinette Altemus of Oxford; Jasmine D. McGhee of Oxford; Ayanna Chaunte’ Smith, Latasha Nicole McRae and Takia Lashon Christian, all of Anniston.

The students must have completed at least 15 semester hours of core courses at ASU with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better to qualify for recognition.
