JABBERWOCK 2012 was held at Jacksonville State University, McClellan Campus in early June. Jabberwock is an extravaganza that has been identified with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority since 1925. Through efforts of the Anniston Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, this year's affair was used to finance many community services, to showcase community talent and to give scholarships to deserving students in this area. Winners from three categories pictured from left to right are, Kayla Broom, ‘Little Miss Jabberwock’; Brittney Stansil, ‘Miss Jabberwock’ and Amari Fleming, ‘Junior Miss Jabberwock’. These three young ladies competed from a field of fifteen other contestants while participating in a variety of workshops and mentoring programs covering a span of nine months. The next Jabberwock extravaganza will take place in June, 2014, at which time the reigning queens will relinquish their crowns.
